When the Seven Princes of Bahamut took their virtues into the world, Sharaf, Prince of Honor, walked among mortals to test the truth of their hearts.
Where others saw justice, mercy, or courage, Sharaf sought the mirror — the reflection that reveals who one truly is when no one watches.
It is said that his mirrors appeared throughout the world: in still pools, in glass, in polished metal.
Those who gaze upon them see not prophecy nor punishment, but the quiet truth of who they were and might yet become.
These visions were later gathered by the priests of Bahamut within the Trial of Sharaf, in the Temple’s Hall of Reflections.
| # | Mirror Vision (read aloud when a mirror is touched) |
|---|---|
| 1 — Zephyr | Someone asked for help. You never got round to it. They asked someone else. That someone is now their business partner and is living a very easy life. |
| 2 — Akylla | A childhood mentor pins a faded merit ribbon to your collar, whispering, “You will do great things one day. Live true.” |
| 3 — Ilyana | You stand at one of the gates of Athkatla. You just returned from the desert, abandoning a quest after your fellow adventurers perished. |
| 4 — Zephyr | A tavern crowd roars with laughter as you finish your tale. Then they fall silent as someone points out you aren’t the person you say you are. |
| 5 — Ilyana | On a foggy road, you gift your last loaf of bread to a barefoot refugee, who slips a brass ring into your pocket in thanks. |
| 6 — Ilyana | You let your childhood pet go free at the precipice of a moonlit dune, whispering a promise that you’d meet again under better skies. |
| 7 — Zephyr | A rival artisan tears up their masterpiece after glimpsing the sketch you abandoned on a workshop bench. |
| 8 — Unknown | You press a wax-sealed letter into the claw of a courier owl, knowing it confesses a secret that could ruin your best friend's family. |
| 9 — Ilyana | Caught in a desert storm, you chose to rescue a stranger’s pet instead of your travelling pack, watching your journals burn. |
| 10 — Zephyr | Someone close to you hands you something, declaring, “You’ll need this more than I will,” before fading from your life without a word. |
| 11 — Ilyana | During a midsummer festival you leap a bonfire, landing on the far side beside a person you know seeks your love and affection. |
| 12 — Unknown | You sign a charter founding a short-lived company—three names, yours the only one un-crossed by fate. |
| 13 — Zephyr | A city magistrate quietly erases a record of your petty crime after you agree to owe them “a favour to be named later.” |
| 14 — Unknown | You awaken in a healer’s hut, a stranger’s blood-soaked cloak draped over you and no memory of how it got there. |
| 15 — Zephyr | In the fog outside a burning shop, you picked a half-scorched wooden box from the ash without knowing why—and never told anyone you still have it. |
| 16 — Akylla | Under starlight, you bury a locked box containing something that was never yours to have. |
| 17 — Ilyana | A childhood friend challenges you to a footrace; you trip them to win, then carry them home with a sprained ankle. |
| 18 — Akylla | You forge your tutor’s signature on an examination scroll, earning praise no one had verified. |
| 19 — Akylla | The glimmer of a knife, it slipped and you still brandish a scar. You tried to learn a new craft to impress a parent, but failed and never picked it up again. |
| 20 — Akylla | One fateful day in the market, magic went awry and catastrophe struck. You survived, the only scar being on your memory. You never shook the feeling something otherworldly must have saved you. |
| 21 — Zephyr | You are happily sitting on a bench outside a workshop. You were happy in that craft, but your employer died suddenly. If it weren't for their tragic death, would you even have come on an adventure such as this? |
These visions were originally used during the Trial of Sharaf – Honor, the sixth trial within the Temple of Bahamut.
Each reflection corresponds to a personal truth of the adventurers who entered the temple — revealing not what they wished to see, but what they needed to.
